The two-piece design offers flexibility for doors with nonstandard hole locations while providing a subtle classic appearance for entranceways. Universal latch and bolt fits either 2-3/8 inches or 2-3/4 inches backsets. The Schlage made Paris Handleset is made for door thickness that range from 1-3/8 inches to 1-3/4 inches. Single Cylinder Handleset: The deadbolt is thrown or retracted by a key from the outside or by a thumbturn on the inside. The latch is retracted by a thumbpiece from the outside and by a turn knob on the inside.
