Made by artisans using the old world techniques of the hammer and anvil, the Traditional 16 Inch Iron Art Mortise Handleset is perfect for all types of homes including colonial, southwestern, and those with a more natural decor. The black iron finish grants it an antique feel. It is available in single cylinder and dummy functions. A mortise lock, it is for 1-3/4 inch to 3 inch thick doors with a 2-1/2 inch or 2-3/4 inch backset.

When Selecting a Function:

• Dummy Handleset: Blank trim for non-working doors that does not have a turnpiece or a cylinder. It does not latch and does not lock. Usually used as matching trim for the non-working side of double doors.
• Single Cylinder Handleset: A key operates the deadbolt from the exterior while a thumbturn operates it from the interior. The latch is operated by a lever from both the exterior and the interior. Panic Proof: Turning of inside lever will retract both deadbolt and latchbolt at the same time.
