These 120" long half surface Continuous Gear Hinge are normally used on door retrofit and renovations but also used in new construction when door mortising is not practical. Half Surface Hinge - Door Frame Jamb flange is applied to door frame end surface (concealed surface). Door flange is surface applied to door face.

Bommer HS120HD - 120" Continuous Gear Hinges are packaged complete with mounting hardware. Door frame side flange uses #12-24 x 7/16" Type C screws that are self threading. Door side flange is thru-bolted with 1/4-20 x 1-5/8" low profile head screws. Shoulder bolts are used in conjunction with thru-bolts. Eight pan head #12 x 3/4" self drilling screws also used.

A Continuous Geared Hinge consists of two full-height, paired and geared leafs. Each geared leaf rotates evenly from top to bottom, riding on superior Delrin Teflon bearings. The geared leafs and bearings are held together by a full length channel cap. This assembly retains the smooth, clean lines of the door and frame, while easily supporting heavy vertical loads.
