The American Eagle 5501 Series is a commercial-grade, ADA Compliant Surface Mount Door Closer. This unit features full rack and pinion construction and a heavy-duty cast aluminum alloy body.

The 5501 is listed by U.L./U.L.C. and conforms to ANSI A156.4 Grade 1. It is non-handed and tri-packed, accommodating regular, top jamb, and parallel arm applications. Hydraulic control is achieved through separate hex-key adjustments for sweep, latch, and backcheck.
