The colonial cabinet lock has two parts: the thumb turn lock mechanism and strike box. Turning the thumb turn knob, secures the lock. The classic colonial lock features solid brass construction which is resistant to corrosion. The Medium Size Colonial Cabinet Lock is surface mounted (screwed to the face of the door) with the included matching finish wood screws for easy installation. Locks like these are primarily used on cabinet doors, however they are also used on furniture doors, utility doors, pantry doors, any door, or windows.
