The mounts and the deadbolt rose of the Double Cylinder Warwick Mortise Lockset, feature an old world design that will grant a feeling of antiquity to any door--making it perfect for restoration projects. Built for lightweight doors, this lockset has a 10-3/4" grip for both the interior and the exterior of the door. Double cylinder handlesets are most often used on doors with windows or that are located near windows because you need a key to unlock it from both the outside and the inside. The Warwick black iron handleset is good for doors with 1-3/4" to 2-1/2" thicknesses and 2-3/4" backsets.

Unlike a simple tubular latch, this is a mortise lock. They are extremely durable and have a tighter clearance tolerance. You know it's a mortise lock when you hear that heavy, smooth, solid 'click' when the door closes shut.

Double Cylinder Handleset: The deadbolt is operated by a key from both the exterior and the interior. The latch is operated by a thumbpiece from both the exterior and the interior.
